Course description:

This course discusses various aspects of regional economy and development planning, especially regional planning. Regional economy is a part of economics that applies economic principles related to the region, so it is more appropriate to be applied in planning and designing regional development policies. The discussion in the course covers the definition and scope of regional economics and development planning, location theory, planning stages and methods, regional macroeconomic indicators, various theories and models of regional planning. In discussing the planning concept, qualitative and quantitative aspects will also be seen. The final chapter will discuss about development planning in Indonesia. At the end of the lecture, wajb students convey the results of field studies or studies related to deepening or planning models carried out in the observation area
