Course description:

The objective of the central banking course is to provide students with an understanding of the importance of the role of the central bank as the economy of a country. Apart from learning about the central bank as an institution, students are also provided with an understanding of central bank policies and how these policies work integrated with other institutions in building the economy. Many lessons from other countries are an important discussion in every meeting. Some of the materials for one semester are as follows: (1) The Role of Central Banks in Indonesia and in Several Countries: A Comparison; (2) Organization and Institutions of the Central Bank; (3) Independency, Transparency and Accountability of the Central Bank; (4) Conventional and Sharia Financial Systems; (5) Money Management; (6) Payment System; (7) Monetary Policy Theory; (8) Monetary Policy Implementation in Indonesia and in Several Countries: A Comparison; (9) Management of Exchange Rates and Foreign Capital Flows; (10) Financial System Stability (FSS); (11) Macroprudential and Microprudential Central Bank Policy Mix and, (12) Thematic Topics: MSMEs and the Role of Government.
